My name is Shinichiro Yamaguchi. I'm a principal of Kawaguchi Special Needs School.

I was appointed in April of this year.

Our school is the special needs school of intellectual disabilities.

Our school has 252 students of elementary school class and 84 students of junior high school class.

And the Hatogaya branch school opened in Hatogaya High School at April 11, 2023.

This branch school started with 16 first grade students of high school class.

I always tell students, the stuff and parents that our school's mission is to support all our student's independence and social participation.

This mission is so challenging. Each student has many challenges to independent.

But they have a lot of potential and cheerfulness.

We will teach and support them patiently all the time.

私の名前は山口伸一郎と言います。川口特別支援学校の校長です。この４月に着任しました。

本校は、知的障害がある児童生徒が学ぶ特別支援学校です。

本校には、小学部２５２人、中学部８４人の児童生徒がいます。

また、本年４月１１日には、鳩ケ谷高等学校の中に、「鳩ケ谷分校」が開校しました。この分校は、高等部1年生の生徒１６人でスタートしたところです。

 私は、いつも、児童生徒の皆さん、教職員や保護者の方々に「私たちの学校（特別支援学校）の使命（ミッション）は、児童生徒一人一人の自立と社会参加を実現することだ」とお話ししています。

このミッション（使命）は簡単ではありません。それぞれの児童生徒が、自立に向けて、様々な課題を抱えています。しかし、みんな、たくさんの可能性と快活さを持っています。

私たちは、ずっと、ねばり強く教え、支援していきます。
